THE SOUND OF MUSIC

A Tokyo production of the Broadway classic

Rodger and Hammerstein’s musical “The Sound of Music” first premiered on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in 1959. Then in 1965, the musical was adapted into a film version by the same title, spreading the story of Maria everywhere. In early 2005, with Gorgeous Entertainment acting as a liaison, this musical arrived in Japan as a Horipro production at the Tokyo Kousei Nenkin Kaikan theater.
